Expanding the Qualcomm Ecosystem: Partner Announcements
At IMC 2025, Qualcomm India announced new collaborations that
demonstrate its developer-first approach and support for Make in India:
- Coredge: Enterprises
are at a turning point as the traditional model of sending workloads to
hyperscale public clouds shifts toward bringing AI closer to where data
resides. With data volumes surging, Qualcomm and Coredge partnership
addresses the need for a sovereign, high-performance, and cost-efficient
AI platform. The integration of Qualcomm® Cloud AI 100 Ultra Cards with
the Qualcomm® AI Inference Suite allows enterprises and governments to
securely conduct advanced AI inference in their own data centers,
sovereign clouds, or at the edge, guaranteeing that data remains within
trusted boundaries. The platform sets the stage for autonomous AI
co-pilots that autonomously learn, act, and collaborate, helping
industries such as BFSI, manufacturing, retail, and public services unlock
faster, smarter, and more secure decision-making.
- Lloyd (Havells
Group): A connected air conditioner powered by the Qualcomm® QCC743
connectivity platform. Demonstrated live at the event, it highlights the
integration of Qualcomm’s advanced tri-radio connectivity—Wi-Fi 6 (2.4
GHz), Bluetooth 5.4, and IEEE 802.15.4 (Thread/Zigbee) with Lloyd’s
national manufacturing and distribution capabilities. This collaboration
reflects how Indian OEMs are leveraging Qualcomm’s scalable connectivity
and AI solutions to deliver energy-efficient, interoperable, and
intelligent appliances, aligned with the Make in India initiative and the
evolving smart home ecosystem.
- Ideaforge:
Qualcomm India showcased its collaboration with Ideaforge, featuring
drones powered by the Qualcomm® QRB5165 SoC. The demonstration highlighted
autonomous navigation, GPS-denied flight, real-time AI-powered video
analytics, multi-camera SLAM, and object tracking. The drones also
featured 5G connectivity for defense, industrial, agriculture, and smart
city applications. This partnership reflects how Indian companies are
building scalable, intelligent aerial solutions powered by Qualcomm
technologies, supporting Make in India and India’s broader digital and
industrial technology initiatives.
Qualcomm AI Upskilling Program: Technical Foundation
To strengthen India’s AI talent pipeline, Qualcomm India also announced
the launch of the Qualcomm
AI Upskilling Program: Technical Foundation. Targeted at engineering
students, developers, and professionals, this developer-first initiative
introduces participants to the Qualcomm AI Stack while encouraging growth in
the use of end-to-end on-device ML solutions via the Qualcomm AI Hub. The
program covers five key modules:
- Fundamentals of AI
& ML – covering deep learning, neural networks, big data, and model
training. - Edge AI Fundamentals
& Features – focusing on cloud, edge, and on-device AI capabilities. - Introduction to
Generative AI – exploring GenAI for text, image, speech, and video
applications. - Fundamentals of
Qualcomm® AI – highlighting how Qualcomm products integrate AI to deliver
performance and efficiency. - Getting Started with
Qualcomm® AI Hub – enabling developers to build on-device AI applications
through a free, accessible platform.
With this initiative, Qualcomm India aims to strengthen the Qualcomm AI
Ecosystem, familiarize developers and students with its AI Stack, and expand
the adoption of on-device AI solutions, helping nurture the next generation of
AI talent in India.
